Troms is not as cold as you think!

In summer, expect temperatures from around +7 °C to 25 °C, so bring swimwear, a good sweater and a raincoat.

In winter, temperatures are perfect for outdoor activities, and typically range from +3°C to -10°C. In inland areas, the temperatures occasionally drop below -40 °C, but it’s a dry cold. Expect loads of snow everywhere in Troms in winter.

Summers tend to have all kinds of weather within a short period of time. Heat waves occasionally rush people onto the beaches, but just as often, it’s chilly and wet.

The autumn is long in Troms. Snow can fall in September, but doesn’t settle until November or even December.

Winters are at their coldest in January/February, but Troms enjoys the mildest winter temperatures on the planet at these latitudes, and the cold seldom stops outdoor activities.

March and early April have mild, sunny conditions, perfect for outdoor activities. The snow melts in late April-early May.
