Senja Gjestegård

Senja is a beautiful island where exciting experiences such as an overwhelmingly good fishing is possible.

Rødsand is situated near one of these fishy rich fjords, the Selfjord on the southern part of the island, 60 km from Finnsnes. Here, the mountains plunge right into the sea. Most of the sea bird species are found here, like the majestic sea eagle that comes for the fish close to your boat and the small whale that plays around in the calm sea.

Coalfish (saithe), cod, mackerel, salmon, herring and halibut are common species. You might see big whales in the Andfjord.

Hunting possibilities are great in the autumn coloured mountains. Moose and reindeer are a common sight.
