Skibotn Market

The Skibotn market was an important meeting point between Norwegians, Sami, Kven and Finns from Finland proper and Northern Sweden. Goods included reindeer meat, grouse, butter, flour and fish. Laestadianism, a lay movement within Lutheranism, spread from here. On this historic location, you find three market buildings, two of them reconstructed, and the exhibit "Market and Læstadius".
